Philosophy:

 

Apex is a hockey community driven by passion and love for the game. Parents' voices are essential to the success of our program.

Code of Conduct:

​

Players must show exemplary behavior, be punctual, stay focused, and keep the locker room clean.

​

An elite player values teamwork, passing the puck to keep the game exciting.

​

Cross-checking is banned and can lead to immediate sanction without a refund. Slashing may result in a five-minute bench penalty. Minor infractions like tripping lead to a Swedish-style penalty shot.

Game Day:

​

Agenda: Players and goalies need to be geared up and ready 10 minutes before the start. Parents can drop off their kids anytime, as long as they’re set to go on schedule. We’re on-site 1 hour early to take care of early drop-offs.

​

We start with team-building introductions, then we hit the ice for stretching, skating warm up, followed by skills session. Each game day features a new drill inspired by real NHL scenarios and game relevance—every drill has a purpose.

​

Game Time: 2 periods of 35 minutes.

​

We record each game to track players' performance, development, and stats. After every game, we share the video and stats with all participants' parents. We also use this data to recognize member milestones, select competitive squads, and choose participants for the season-ending All-Stars Game.

​

Age Group: We value talent over age, so our games welcome players born between 2012 and 2014. Teams are formed based on talent each game day, ensuring competitive play and development opportunities for all ages. Each team is balanced for optimal chemistry

Spring Tournaments

​

In our debut season, Apex formed 3 dynamic squads, participating in 3 Select AAA International tournaments.
 

Additionally we have hosted our own in Forssa.

​

Looking ahead to Spring 2025, we plan to continue this exciting journey by offering opportunities to talented players born in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

​

We don't organize any tryouts, however our exhibition games are key for the selection of our competitive squad members.

​

Players are invited based on team chemistry impact over individual skill, and Apex cap selections from any single Finnish club at 25%.
